What is an online Guestbook?

DEVJOBS has just installed an online Guestbook, where website visitors and users of the DEVJOBS services can leave messages, comments and suggestions.

Should I give my real email address?

Giving your real email address is optional, and you may use an alias or invalid email address provided there is a @ somewhere in the middle. This is to prevent spammers from getting your email address. If you have some sensitive or very important matter to take up with DEVJOBS, then use our customer support ticket system.

Should customers use the Guestbook?

The Guestbook is mainly for jobseekers. Customers (employers and recruiters) should not use the Guestbook if they have important or high-priority messages, for example - questions on job postings and fees, instructions to the DEVJOBS editor regarding number of days to run an ad, requests for corrections of ads, questions on billing and payment, etc. Sensitive information and details are better handled through our secure ticket system. A ticket is assigned to each question or message. We respond to your comment ticket quickly, normally within 24 hours after receipt. To use the Customer Support ticket system, please click here

How is spam reduced?

Our Guestbook has certain features to prevent automated submssions by spam robots. Most spam are sent out by these spam robots. A human spammer can still enter the Guestbook, but we can delete all spam messages posted in there quickly. Also, a person can enter only one comment per session (which tremendously reduces spams).

Who designed the ticket system?

The Guestbook is written in PHP and was designed by Klemen Stirn (thanks to him) and it was further customized by the DEVJOBS webmaster. Contact our webmaster if you have some suggestions to improve this website. Your suggestions are welcomed.
