As a member of our online mailing list, you will get the jobs announcements in your email inbox once a week. Each email contains several messages which are mostly job listings and announcements. From time to time, a few announcements on conferences, seminars, internships and scholarships are included in the newsletters. We do not send you any commercial ads or offers of any kind.
As stated above, for ordinary members or job seekers, this service is completely free of charge. Unlike other services in the Internet, this service is completely free for members and job-seekers. That's right, you read it right. There is absolutely
There are three simple basic rules that we implement to maintain order within this list. Rule 1. Write directly to employers. Members or job-seekers who are interested in inquiring about a certain posted position or in applying for it must write directly to the employer or person indicated in the job ad, and not to the DEVJOBS Office, Editor or Moderator. Please do not just press the "reply button" whenever you receive our jobs newsletters. Instead, clearly write the name and address in your email of the designated person of the employer organization. If you want to send your resume as file attachment, please send it directly to the employer which posted the ad, and not to DEVJOBS Office, Editor or Moderator. DEVJOBS will not accept any resume or any file attachment. We automatically discard any file attachment or job application sent in by job seekers. Job-seekers are also not allowed to post their resume here because we don't have any facility to store them. Also, we don't forward job application emails to employers. Rule 2. Always mention DEVJOBS whenever you apply for a job with an employer. This is essential to keep the employer aware about this service, and it could lead to more postings from employers. Rule 3. Invite your friends and colleagues to join our mailing list, because we want to deliberately increase our membership base, to attract more postings fom employers. These basic rules are needed to minimize confusions, maintain order and increase usefulness.
Any member may leave the DEVJOBS mailing list anytime. Click here or on any unsubscribe link in this website to unsubscribe from our database. In unsubscribing, you have to remember what email address you used earlier when you subscribed to our database. If you use another email to unsubscribe, then it won't work. You may write to our Editor if you need direct assistance.
Currently, we only collect email addresses in our mailing list database. Because your privacy is important to us, DEVJOBS adheres to strict confidentiality of information. We do not sell or divulge your email address or personal or company information to third parties. The informations are kept in a secured database. Only the staff of DEVJOBS has access to that database. Refer to our Privacy Statement for more details. Hence no spammer will be able to get your email address.
If you belong to our mailing list, and if
you are taking a leave of absence or going on a long vacation or business
trip, it is best to leave the mailing list so that no email will arrive
in your mailbox.
Members who belong to our earlier database experienced this problem, which is due to batching of requests for unsubscribes. But this problem is not present anymore because we have introduced an online database (through the great services of our webhost and a software company called MailMachinePro.com ). So, when you unsubscribe now, it takes effect immediately. Done and completed right that minute.
Yes, you may use our services without becoming a member of our database. You simply visit our webpage (www.devjobsmail.com) to see the latest job listings and vacancies. Our service is being used by 82,000 development professionals each month, mainly to check the job listings. Our website gets 210,000 pageviews each month (based on the statistics as of September 2006).
No. DEVJOBS is purely a job announcement service at this time. We do not have any facility to store resume and Cvs of members. You should send your resume directly to the employer with which you are applying for a job. We do not forward emails, nor do we want to see a copy of your job applications or CVs. DEVJOBS has no direct involvement in the job processing or hiring process. See also our Terms
of Use policy.
There are members of DEVJOBS who are active jobseekers, meaning they are currently unemployed and are looking for productive work opportunities. If you are one, then we suggest that you simply visit our website 2 or 3 times a week, to check on available jobs.
Some members reported that they experienced days or weeks when DEVJOBS emails stopped. For YahooMail and Hotmail users, the cause is that they have installed spam filters to filter out some bulk emails. Click >here if you are a Yahoo Mail or Hotmail.com user, to find out more about this problem. For other members, there are varied causes,
like: a) accidental deletion of your email address record in our database;
b) your email box is already full or over-quota and therefore could not
accept further emails; c) your email redirection service has stopped;
d) your ISP or LAN is filtering out our emails. It is important to find
out the real reason or cause, and fix it. |
