What are benefits to employers?
|
DEVJOBS creates real benefits to employers. The main benefit to employers is that they get quick, easy and wide advertising in the Internet of their needs for workers at an unbelievable low price. Our fees are affordable to all kinds of development organizations.
|
Usually, employers pay thousands of dollars to post job announcements
in global newspapers.
But with DEVJOBS, an employer or a recruiter can reach out
to
thousands of development
professionals at a small fraction of the costs
usually involved. Another advantage is the ease of use.
Employers may post ads anytime, from anywhere. More than 400
large and well-known NGOs and international consulting firms
have become customers and regular users of DEVJOBS. Click
here to see a partial
listing of our customers.
They attest that they are able to reach a wide audience of
people in the development field, across the world.
|
An employer can
reach a huge global
audience of more than 82,000 people cheaply, in just
afew clicks. See details of this outreach below. And best of all,
it cost almost nothing.
Lastly, we try to give customers a personalized
service.

How much fees should an employer pay
?
|
For our basic regular advertising service,
employers are asked to pay the usual advertising fee which is
Fifteen US dollars (US$ 15.00) per job per posting day.
A job ad with one position that is announced
once will be billed US$15.00 only.
If an ad contains two job positions,
for example a Project Manager and a Agriculturist positions, then
we count that two ads and billed $30 (calculated as $15 x 2). We
count the number of job positions in an ad not really the number
of ads.
If a employer/customer wants the same
ad (with 2 job positions) run for 3 days spread over a 2 week period,
we charge that $90 (calculated as $15 x 2 positions x 3 days).
This is a special low-cost fee, designed
for NGOs and development agencies.
What else are included? Read below.
First, even though the job ad is announced
in a day's issue, for example September 27, the job ad actually
stays in our website for a period of nearly 60 days, which the viewers
can all see. So, even though it is an ad for one day, your exposure
is really nearly 60-days.
Second, we shall distribute your job
ad via email to all people belonging to our mailing list - now around
30,000 people.
Third, we place your ad in our online
jobs archives for 60 months for record purposes only (this is useful
for billing and verification purposes too).
|
How many times should
I run my ad ?
|
As stated above, even though your job ad is announced in a day's issue, for example September 21, your ad actually stays in our website for a period of nearly 60 days, which the all viewers can all see and could open. So, even though it is an ad for one day (15 dollars fee), your exposure is really nearly 60-days.
But there is a little problem about this. As time goes on, the job
ad gradually loses visibility because the viewers tend to click on the latest
job listings or issues and tend not to open or view the earlier
or older issues.
For example, viewers who come in mid-October will tend to open the
issues for October 11, 13, 15 and 17, and he will tend not to open
the issues for September. In short, as time elapses, the job ad
loses visibility, even though it is still there in the website for
them to click open and see.
To counteract this, many recruiters and employers ask us to run
the ad for 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 days and spread it over a period of
2 or 3 or 4 weeks, to maximize the visibility of the ad.
Of course, if you run it 3 times, that will cost a bit more (45
dollars). It depends on how much budget you have for running the
ad. Usually, it is enough to run it 6 times over a period of 3 weeks.
This seems to be the best solution for many recruiters, based on
our own six year experience.
