2. This is a free service for job-seekers
and regular members. Employers pay a small fee to participate in job postings.
| For ordinary members or job
seekers, this service is completely free of charge.
Again, we like to emphasize that for members and job-seekers, this service is
completely free. Only employers are asked to pay
a small fee
to help sustain this service, while members do not pay any fee.
There are two basic non-monetary obligations of members: a) always mentioning
to employer that job info was obtained from DEVJOBS whenever applying for job,
and b) inviting others to join the list. Since 2002,
DEVJOBS started to ask members to make small voluntary financial contributions
to help support DEVJOBS. But it is purely voluntary on your part. DEVJOBS
does not in any manner guarantee that a member or jobseeker will be employed by
other companies.
3.
DEVJOBS does not guarantee the authenticity of the job offers and announcements.
| DEVJOBS receives hundreds
of job postings every week, and there is no quick and reliable way to find out
the validity and authenticity of all of these job posting. We recommend that members
or job seekers carefully examine the job advetisement and conduct his/her own
research on the background of the hiring organization. DEVJOBS
cannot assume any responsibility for the content of messages or job vacancy information
sent to us by various employers, as the messages are sent by individual users
. customers, and we do not substantially edit the content. DEVJOBS
is not involved in the actual transaction between employers and applicants. As
a result, DEVJOBS has no control over the quality, safety, or legality of the
jobs or resumes posted, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of
employers to offer job opportunities to applicants or the ability of applicants
to satisfactorily fill job openings. DEVJOBS is
not liable for the conduct of any DEVJOBS member, job applicant, employer, or
user, or for the conduct of any party other than DEVJOBS staff itself. There
are previous incidents when fake employers announce jobs through DEVJOBS, and
they ask applicants to pay a certain application or software fees. Some of these
are promoters of so-called "work-at-home" schemes. Please be specially careful
about this kind of scammers. Avoid them at all costs. Currently, we do not anymore
allow "work-at-home" job ads. DEVJOBS does not
represent or guarantee the trustfulness, accuracy, or reliability of information
posted by prospective applicants or employers, or that said information is up
to date. Both the employers and the applicants acknowledge that any reliance on
material posted by the other will be at your own risk. DEVJOBS shall have the
right, but not the obligation, to refuse, move or remove any user-submitted content.
4.
DEVJOBS is not directly involved in the employee hiring process. |
DEVJOBS is not directly involved, in any
way, in the employee hiring process of employers. Therefore, we ask all members
and job seekers to directly apply with the employers. DEVJOBS
does not accept resume, CV or other employee information. Job seekers must apply
directly with the employers. CVs must be submitted directly to the employers.
DEVJOBS will not forward to any employer any CV or resume.
DEVJOBS does not provide referrals or recommendations to employers. DEVJOBS
is not liable for the conduct of any DEVJOBS member, job applicant, employer,
or user, or for the conduct of any party other than DEVJOBS staff itself.
5. DEVJOBS
does not promise or guarantee jobs to its members. | DEVJOBS
does not offer or promise or guarantee employment to its members. It is not directly
involved in the employment hiring process. DEVJOBS does not provide referrals
or recommendations to employers. 6.
Job seekers and members must comply with certain basic rules. | Members
must complete the registration form found in the Subscription Page in order to
join our mailing list and use our Services. You will provide true, accurate, current,
and complete information about yourself as requested in the registration form.
Usually, we only ask for your true email address. There are three simple basic
rules that we implement to maintain order within this list. Rule
1. Write directly to employers. Members or job-seekers who are interested
in inquiring about a certain posted position or in applying for it must write
directly to the employer or person indicated in the job ad, and not to the DEVJOBS
Office, Editor or Moderator. Please do not just press the "reply button". Instead,
clearly write the name and address in your email of the designated person of the
employer organization. If you want to send your resume as file attachment, please
send it directly to the employer which posted the ad, and not to DEVJOBS Office,
Editor or Moderator. DEVJOBS will not accept any resume or any file attachment.
We automatically discard any file attachment or job application sent in by job
seekers. Job-seekers are also not allowed to post their resume in DEVJOBS. DEVJOBS
does not forward job application emails to employers. Rule
2. Always mention DEVJOBS whenever you apply for a job with an employer. This
is essential to keep the employer aware about this service, and it could lead
to more postings from employers. Rule 3. Invite
your friends and colleagues to join our mailing list, because we want to deliberately
increase our membership base, to attract more postings fom employers. These
basic rules are needed to minimize confusions, maintain order and increase usefulness.
7.
Job postings from employers must comply with certain basic rules. |
There are a five basic conditions that we
ask employers to follow. Job ads are accepted by DEVJOBS if it complies with the
following five basic conditions: Condition
# 1. The job is an international position - meaning people from various countries
may apply and compete for it. This is because DEVJOBS members are from different
countries. If the job is for a certain nationality only, we may accept it but
the job ad must specify that at the top portion of the ad text. Condition
# 2. The job must be connected with related to microfinance, poverty alleviation,
community development, institution development, governance, health care, population,
food security, agriculture, education, human resource development, disability
rehabilitation, natural resource management, information technology, and rural
development. Job ads not meeting these criteria are not permitted. Condition
# 3. The job ad should be short (not more than 2 pages) and the ad should
be in plain text only, inside the email, and not in a file attachment. Our computer
server automatically discards all file attachments, and one reason is to prevent
virus infestation of the list. Another reason is that is to ensure inexpensive
and quick delivery of emails to thousands of members. You may also use the "post-ad"
facility within this website to post a job ad. Condition
# 4. The ad should contain the email address of the person supposed to receive
the applications, and the deadline for accepting applications. Also, the ad should
include an email address of a person who can be contacted if prospective applicants
want to get more info about the job. Condition
# 5. The emplyer must send DEVJOBS an email or letter or fax stating that
the organization (employer) is willing to accept charges. The employer must also
furnish the full name of the organization, address, phone, email address and contact
person, which are needed for billing purposes. The
Editor(s) review all job ads, on daily basis, examining each job ad if they comply
with these five conditions. Click
