Job Description: Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian housing organization dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing and homelessness and to making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Established in 1976, we work in more than 80 countries.
Reporting to the Caribbean Regional Director, this position is responsible for the support, development and evaluation of national and affiliate programs in assigned countries. Advises national coordinators on the implementation of their national programs. Functions as a liaison between the Area office and assigned countries, serving as an active member of the national boards of directors. Educates, supports and guides the cultivation of national organizations and affiliates, including appropriate planning, budgeting, reporting, monitoring and evaluation methods consistent with HFHI policies and procedures. Assists in the administration of funds for national organizations. Facilitates board development for Habitat national boards and affiliate committees. Ensures that the documentation of national and affiliate programs, including operations manuals, legal registrations, statutes and by-laws, are up to date. Advises national organizations in the development of new affiliates and assists in new country development as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience. Also four years relevant experience including two years work in disadvantaged countries and two years experience in community organizing. Must be willing to communicate and affirm the Christian roots and principles of HFHI. Fluency in English and French required. Must have strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as demonstrated ability to work well within a team. Travel 30%. Prefer knowledge and skills in appropriate technologies, innovative development, board development.

Job Description: Reporting to the Caribbean Regional
Director, this position is responsible for implementation of the Planning,
Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) system and initiatives at the community,
national and regional levels. Improves the PME knowledge and
skills of HFH stakeholders in the region. Provides
appropriate training for national PME staff and relevant regional and national
office staff, through participating in the design and implementation of the
curriculum, conducting formal and informal workshops, providing libraries and
databases of resources, mentoring and networking. Monitors and evaluates
the PME plans and work carried out in the affiliates and countries of the
region, detecting problems of implementation and adjustments necessary,
overseeing adequate analysis and interpretation of findings, and ensuring the
values and principles of HFHI, of the LAC PME system (empowerment,
participation, utilization, fostering the learning organization), and of
generally accepted PME professional standards. Assists in the
use of PME for grant writing, grant management, and donor relations when
appropriate. Participates
in the design and implementation of a PME system throughout the LAC area.
Participates in the development of standards and tools to measure institutional
strength, risk factors, signs of excellence and impact on beneficiaries and the
target population at all levels of the organization, in order to help improve
quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent
education/experience; two years experience in a program evaluation and/or
organizational development position with some responsibility for conducting
evaluations, statistical and qualitative analysis. One year
experience doing popular education in a disadvantaged community. Must be
fluent in two of the following: English, Spanish, French.
Must have excellent communication skills; analytic and problem-solving skills;
technical expertise in the fields of strategic planning, evaluation, social
investigation, qualitative and quantitative data
analysis. Must have an understanding of principles, methods
and tools of empowerment and/or utilization-based evaluation. Requires
25% travel.

Salary Range:
Compensation includes $1000+ monthly (depending on experience), housing

Job Description: This position is responsible for the institutionalization and professionalization of planning, monitoring and evaluation (PME) in the LAC Area. Supports, oversees and facilitates PME processes and capacity building, developing and promoting the LAC PME system values and principles, HFHI values and priorities, practices of learning organizations and generally accepted PME professional standards. Provides spiritual emphasis to the program consistent with the mission and principles of HFHI. Coordinates, trains and provides technical support and monitoring of regional PME coordinators. Defines directions and specific strategies for the PME program and initiatives in LAC. Coordinates the design and implementation of a PME system throughout LAC, including strategies for the area and national programs to regularly collect, analyze and use information to monitor, study and better their processes. Participates in the development of standards and measurement tools to measure institutional strength, risk factors, signs of excellence, impact on beneficiaries and the target population at all levels of the organization to help improve quality. Improves the planning, monitoring and evaluating knowledge and skills of HFH stakeholders in the LAC area. Provides appropriate training for regional and national PME staff and relevant Area office and National office staff, through designing and implementing a curriculum, appropriate materials, workshops, resources, mentoring and networking. Monitors and evaluates the PME work carried out in the Area. Collects, analyzes and reports data of strategic importance to Area leadership. Participates in resource development for PME designated funds when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a graduate degree in related field; at
least five years experience in program evaluation and/or organizational
development; experience in conducting evaluations; experience in statistical
and qualitative analysis; two years experience in LAC; one year experience
non-profit/NGO experience; experience in training; fluency in English and
Spanish; excellent communication skills; analytical and problem-solving skills;
strong team building skills; willingness to communicate and affirm the
Christian roots and principles of HFHI. Expertise in the area of strategic planning; evaluation and social
investigation; qualitative and quantitative analysis, multi-site evaluations;
standards of evaluation. Must have an understanding of
community development and knowledge of organizational development.
Prefer knowledge of French, familiarity with grant writing/ management.

Job Description: This position is responsible for
managing the finance, human resources and administration activities of the Area
office. Develops, implements and maintains Area office
finance, human resources, administration, legal, operations and information
systems functions. Collects,
analyses and reports financial and human resources activities of the Area
office, national organizations and affiliates to headquarters and Area office
staff. Manages the process of transferring funds to
national organizations and affiliates as well as controls cash balances.
Develops and maintains treasury operations procedures for management of cash
flow and balances and foreign currency exchange. Prepares the annual Area
budget and oversees the national organization and affiliate budget process. Oversees the processing of all human resources actions in the Area. Serves as a member of the
Area senior management team, assisting in the development of human resources
and finance strategy. Provides support to national offices in developing
their finance, administration and human resources functions through training,
assisting in the establishment of controls and procedures and assisting in the
installation of accounting software as necessary. Monitors
the financial accountability of national organizations, including oversight of
financial audits and reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a Bachelor's degree
in business, accounting or finance or the equivalent education/experience. Prefer MBA and/or
certification in accountancy. Must also have seven years related finance, human
resources and management experience; a willingness to communicate and affirm
the Christian roots and principles of HFHI; demonstrated knowledge of finance,
accounting, human resources and administrative functions in an international
environment; excellent cross-cultural management skills; competency in
word-processing, spreadsheet and database software; fluency in English. Prefer:
work experience with an international non-profit; French, Arabic or Portuguese
fluency.
