(ii) CV's recently signed by the consultant. Key information should include number of years experience, the degree of responsibility held in various assignments during the last five years.

(iii) Estimates of the total time effort to be provided to carry out the assignment.

(iv) The consultant's comments, if any on the terms of reference and facilities or documentation to be provided by the client.

(v) The technical proposal shall not include any financial information.

The financial proposal should list all the costs associated with the assignment and should be expressed in EURO.

The American Bank of Kosovo (ABK) is a licensed, full-service commercial bank which was founded as part of the USAID –Funded Kosovo Business Finance Project. ABK aims at promoting modern commercial banking in Kosovo.

 

ABK is seeking an experienced Agricultural Loan Officer to lead and manage a team of credit specialists. The core objective of this position will be to expand agribusiness access to market-based credit resources.  To achieve this  objective, an agriculture lending unit will be developed within the American Bank of Kosovo, composed of one expatriate based in Prishtina and local lending associates located in ABK branches throughout Kosovo.  This unit will focus on identifying viable lending opportunities in key agribusiness sub sectors.

 

The major responsibilities include:

*        Ensure that all new credit applications are dealt with in a timely manner.

*        Monitor existing loans and ensure compliance.

*        Be responsible for carrying out financial analysis of both new and existing credit applications and to ensure that adequate financial information on the borrowers is maintained.

*        Develop the specialized agricultural lending skills of the lending team

*        Meet loan targets as agreed with the Senior Credit Manager

*        Meet with prospective clients, finalize credit proposals, and provide recommendation for approval.

*        Ensure that loan repayments are received when due.

*        Seek out and obtain new lending business.

*        Report any significant discrepancy on a loan.

*        Prepare management reports.

 

Conditions:

The length of the assignment will be for up to two years on-site.  Remuneration is highly competitive, based on local hire of an expat.

 

To qualify for an interview, you should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

*        At least 5 years of agricultural experience, preferably with lending experience in Eastern Europe.

*        Management experience preferred.
