CHF International is seeking a Civic Participation Coordinator for our office Belgrade. The Civic Participation Coordinator (CPC) will provide technical assistance to four offices in Eastern and Southern Serbia, to increase the level of participation by local citizens in decision making and local development. The CPC will involve adjacent communities, local municipal governments, and other organizations in our community driven and market driven approach to local development. Developing and delivering training to build the capacity of our local staff and local groups, is a critical component of this position. This position will report to the Country Director and Program Director. This position is based in Belgrade but will require frequent travel throughout the region.

Qualifications and skills required: Minimum requirements for this position include: prior experience liaising with local governments in Serbia; extensive experience with community driven programming; significant experience developing and delivering training sessions in capacity building; familiarity and understanding of the social, economic and political environment of Serbia; a minimum of five years of program management experience, preferably in a similar capacity, and fluency in Serbian and or Albanian. Preference is for a candidate with a Master’s Degree in a related field, and experience in Economic Development.
