Job description: International Medical Corps (IMC) seeks an experienced Country Director. This position, based in Kabul, Afghanistan, will ensure the continued success of IMC Afghanistan's current emergency health care initiatives. The Country Director will be responsible for leading IMC's activities in Afghanistan, while assuring positive implementation, effective coordination, and appropriate support for IMC programs.

The selected candidate will manage programs, grants, and staff · Act as a liaison with local and regional officials, UN and NGO agencies in promotion of planning, coordination, and support for existing and developing new programs · Generate regional reports for donors and HQ · Prepare and administer program budgets and evaluate financial program effectiveness · This position is responsible for the oversight of project logistics, finance and administrative support · Travel may be required.

Qualifications and skills required: The qualified candidate will possess previous experience · 5+ years of field experience in humanitarian relief or development programs focused on primary health care and public health in insecure settings is preferred· Degree in related field · Knowledge of donor practices, the program proposal process, and humanitarian or development program solicitations and applications · Knowledge of program assessments, proposals and budgets · Finance and administration experience

Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Country Director will ensure the continued success of IMC Indonesia’s current emergency health care initiatives. The Country Director will be responsible for leading IMC’s activities in Indonesia, while assuring positive implementation, effective coordination, and appropriate support for IMC programs.

This position will implement, monitor and report on all country programs in addition to designing new program initiatives · Identify donors, prepare proposals, and liaise between field offices, Headquarters, and donors. · Prepare and administer program budgets and evaluate financial program effectiveness · Act as a liaison with local and regional officials, UN and NGO agencies · Oversee project logistics, finance and administrative support · Frequent travel to field sites to supervise and monitor program activities is required· Actively prioritize standards for monitoring and evaluation

Qualifications and skills_required: The qualified candidate will possess knowledge of donor practices, the program proposal process, and humanitarian or development program solicitations and applications · Ability to conduct and supervise new program assessments and write cogent proposals and budgets · Familiarity with international humanitarian operations, coordination structures, and the mandates of donors, UN agencies, and other NGOs · 5+ years of field experience in humanitarian relief or development programs focused on primary health care and public health in insecure settings · Graduate degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field preferred· Fluency in English required; second language skills (i.e., Bahasa Indonesia) · Knowledge of and experience in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.

Job description: International Medical Corps (IMC) seeks a Regional Director to oversee their Central Asia programs in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. This position will ensure the continued success of IMC’s Central Asia current emergency relief, development and policy initiatives. As one of the most challenging, exciting, and rewarding jobs the organization has to offer, the position provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to policy development in one of the most dynamic places on earth. The Regional Director will be responsible for leading activities in Central Asia, while ensuring implementation, coordination, and support for new and developing programs.

The candidate will oversee programs in Central Asia (currently Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan) · Act as a liaison with local and regional officials, UN and NGO agencies in promotion of planning, coordination, and support for existing projects, as well as developing new programs · Develop programs for Central Asia (including new countries) · Prepare and administer program budgets and evaluate financial program effectiveness · Generate reports · Supervise the Country Directors and their related programs/sites · Oversee the management of the grants and budgets for Central Asia · Travel may be required.

Qualifications and skills required: Previous experience as a Regional Director in similar settings is needed in addition to a program development background · Degree in related field and 5+ years of field experience in humanitarian relief or development programs focused on primary health care and public health in insecure settings is preferred · Knowledge of donor practices, the program proposal process, and humanitarian or development program solicitations and applications · Ability to conduct and or supervise new program assessments and write cogent proposals and budgets

· Manage expatriates and local staff · Finance, human resource and administration skills · Must have a familiarity with integrated development strategies and development-funding mechanisms, and a comprehensive knowledge of transition activities. The candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of relief work and security concerns common in all programs.
