Internships with T&E

Some basic information:  T&E does not expect to have internship vacancies before April 2004.

Interns, or stagiaires, can come from almost any discipline, though ideally s/he would come from a background which is of direct relevance to our work.

The ability to speak, read and write English is crucial: other languages are a bonus.

As T&E has a fairly small office in Brussels, it is important that a stagiaire quickly fits in and feels at home. An easy-going attitude is therefore indispensable.

Internships last 3-9 months, we prefer 6.

The exact nature of the work which the stagiaire will do depends heavily on two interactive factors: the stagiaire and her/his qualifications and interests; and the work in which T&E is engaged at the time s/he is with us. No two internships are alike.

A stagiaire will do a range of activities while with T&E. The work is split into two parts: policy-related work on the basis of interests, abilities and opportunities; and some help with organisational/administrative work.

Important: Given our stringent budget constraints, we are unfortunately unable to pay stagiaires.

It is important to us that an internship with T&E is a valuable experience for both parties. This means that our goals and aims should be furthered through the work the stagiaire does while s/he is able to grow professionally, maximising the benefit gained from being with us. For this reason, we start off by developing a work-programme, to give clear structure to stagiaires’ time with us (although naturally it remains flexible).

Interested?

If you are interested in a stage at T&E, please send an e-mail to Stephanos Anastasiadis - stephanos.anastasiadis@t-e.nu,  including your CV and a short letter explaining your motivation.

Please mention clearly in your job application letter that you learned of this job opportunity through DEVJOBS, and mention the URL of its website - www.devjobsmail.com. Thanks.
