Job description: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Emerging Markets, Ltd. has an immediate need for a Chief of Party on a project to strengthen the finance function of a Ministry of Finance in the Middle East. The project team is responsible for providing technical assistance with focused internal audit support at selected ministries and business process reengineering (BPR) for selected processes at the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Overall management of operation and direction of the project, with guidance from the Emerging Markets Group

 

·         Serve as the Director of the Ministry of Finance project and adhere to reporting requirements

 

·         Ensure good financial management of the project funds and ensuring adequate internal controls over funds

 

·         Manage project staff and subcontractors

 

·         Develop and implement project work plans in coordination with the Emerging Markets Group Project Manager

 

·         Manage the project budget (with the Project Manager) and execute financial reporting based on agreed procedures and systems

 

·         Develop and maintain a strong professional relationship with the Minister of Finance and ensure accurate documentation of communications, instructions and directions between the MoF and the project

 

Qualifications and skills required: Qualifications:

 

·         Must possess experience in on or more of the following areas: internal and external auditing, financial accounting, business process engineering/re-engineering, systems implementation and control implementation skills, and training/capacity building

 

·         Strong internal and external auditing experience highly preferred

 

·         Strong leadership/management experience with a multi-skilled team

 

·         Experience working with donor agencies (USAID, World Bank, etc.) is required

 

·         Strong consulting skills as well as previous consulting experience is preferred

 

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Job description: Save the Children, an international relief and development agency seeks Program Manager for 3-year project. Reporting to the Deputy Field Office Director, the Program Manager will oversee overall management of Children’s Protection and Development Centers.  S/he will liaise closely with USAID, Save the Children US based technical staff, government authorities and sub grantee partners.  The Program Manager will ensure timely submission of all deliverables to USAID, including annual work plans and budgets. S/he will oversee the monitoring of performance in relation to results, and supervise key personnel assigned to the project.  S/he will also participate in fund-raising, proposal development and design of additional related projects, as required. 

 

Qualifications and skills required: Position requires international development agency experience and advanced degree in social work, development, or other relevant social science. Five years experience managing development programs and three years experience with at-risk children also required.

 

Must have the ability to lead team and deliver quality outputs, posses excellent oral and written communications skills in English and good computer skills.  Experience in the former Soviet Union especially in the Caucasus preferred. Experience with USAID regulations and knowledge of Azeri, Russian, or Turkish also preferred.

Water Supply & Environmental Sanitaton Program Specialist (WES Program Specialist for Indonesia)

The  Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Program Specialist (WES Specialist) will be responsible to provide conceptual, technical and managerial expertise for the improvement of the ongoing as well as the development of the new, Plan’s child-centered water and sanitation program/projects, in co-operation with Plan colleagues, communities, families and partner organization

He/she will be based in Surabaya, Indonesia  for a minimum of two years.  He/she should have at least 5 years experience at senior level in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of integrated WES program/projects.  He/she should be able to communicate ideas, possess strong management and leadership skills, be sensitive to working in a culturally diverse organization and possess strong knowledge of design and implementation of hardware and software components related to WES.  Fluency in English is required,  speaking, reading and writing Bahassa will be an advantage.
