The
senior statistician will work in the following areas in the context of
developing countries:

statistical systems.
·
Survey design and sampling.
·
Survey data analysis and
technical report writing.
The
senior statistician will have the following responsibilities:
·
Providing support services
to national statistical organisations or consultants for survey design and
sampling, and data analysis.
·
Participating in the
development of training material and conducting training workshops.

Working closely with the IT
specialists on various tasks.
This is a permanent position based in Quebec City
with frequent two-to-three week trips to various developing countries.
Education
·
Advanced university degree
in statistics.
Work experience
·
At least 12 years of
professional experience on major surveys (LSMS, population census, agriculture
census, DHS, etc.).
·
At least 5 years of work
experience in more than one developing country.
Core Skills
·
Very good knowledge of
statistical software (SPSS, IMPS, SAS, STATA, etc.).
·
Very good knowledge of
desktop Word processing, spreadsheet, database management software (Excel Word,

·
Ability to communicate

Languages
