Program Manager - Sudan +b

Posted by:  "Kamara ,Teresa" <kamara@care.org >

CARE USA is seeking a Program Manager for the Nuba Mountains Program for Rebuilding Rural Livelihoods (NMPRRL) in Sudan. The aim of the NMPRRL is to contribute to the enhancement of the Nuba people's capacity for self reliance within a sustained process of conflict transformation guided by the aspirations and prior analysis of the Nuba people themselves.  The project is designed as a 3-year initiative that will instigate relief, rehabilitation and development projects through local organizations.

The Project Manager is expected to ensure that program strategies are implemented, financial controls are adequate, communication with all stakeholders is maintained and that sub-grants are appropriately awarded and

well co-coordinated. This position is based in Nuba Mountains and will report to the Program Management Committee, which will comprise representation from CARE Country Offices for Sudan, South Sudan, and Somalia. Due to isolation, lack of infrastructure, and the tenuous situation in Nuba, this position is designated as a non-accompanied posting.

Requirements include a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Social Sciences, 5 years experience managing civil society strengthening projects, 2 years experience living and working in isolated, insecure and complex operating environments, and demonstrated strong people management skills.

To apply, please visit CARE USA's website at www.careusa.org/careers .
