Responsibilities:
Assist in drafting a Consumer Credit Legislation that will meet the requirement of EU directive. The purpose of this legislation will be to guarantee that consumers receive accurate information on the condition and cost of credit on their obligations. Rules of calculating annual percentage rate (APR) of credit charges and early repayment conditions will also be included in this legislation.
Qualifications and skills required:
· Juris Doctor Degree or equivalent degree required.
· Ten years professional experience, five years in a developing country context.
· Previous experience with donor-funded projects (USAID, World Bank, EU, etc.) is highly preferred.
· Must possess knowledge of consumer credit law, and be an expert in drafting legislation.

The Foundation is dedicated to finding sustainable ways to meet the challenges of these unique communities while respecting traditional ways of life.
Trace Foundation seeks an individual with relevant academic training and project management experience who could serve as Project Manager for some of the Foundation's our education projects based in Qinghai Province. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Programs and will work closely with the foundation’s Qinghai staff andField Representative and with staff and officials at (my understanding was that this position is working closely with MK but that the Field Rep would not be directly responsible for the project, so more like the PHC project) staff and partner institutions.
Duration of the contract: 2 years (extendable) 3-month probationary period.
The project manager will be responsible for:
Coordinating the implementation of the projects with the local counterparts; nine participating senior middle schools together with their concerned county and Prefecture Education Bureaus towards improving quality of (the purpose is to strengthen the Tibetan medium track by improving the quality of education so I think it is best to state that here, Enrico may disagree)strengthening of Tibetan-medium education in their school;
· Working with the leaders and teachers of the nine participating institutions senior middle schools to design all project relevant teacher training activities;
· Working with the leaders and teachers of the nine participating senior middle schools to assess each school’s needs for instructional equipment such as science labs, language labs, computer labs, and library books, then take the lead role in researching cost-effective reliable sources of good quality equipment and devising a purchasing plan for the equipment;
· Working with the leaders and teachers of the nine participating senior middle schools to formulate a plan for improving school management and support implementation;
· Assisting in the implementation of all other project activities as set forth in the MS Project Design Documents.
In addition he/she will:
· Negotiate
and oversee implementation of contracts for specific project
activities and grants.
· Manage
local staff
· Manage
financial and administrative aspects of the projects, including preparation of
budgets
· Write relevant narrative and financial reports.
· Participate in foundation-wide activities related to education
· Identify, design and eventually implement new projects in the education sector.
In order to accomplish these goals, the Project Manager must have:

Summary
Description: The World Resources Institute seeks a Director for The Access
Initiative (TAI) and for the Partnership for Principle 10 (PP10). The Access
Initiative is a global coalition of civil society organizations that promotes
access to information, participation, and justice in decision-making that
affects the environment. The Access Initiative is led by a Core Team of
organizations based in Chile, Hungary, Mexico, Thailand, and Uganda, and also includes organizations in an expanding number of countries. The Partnership for Principle 10 brings together governments, NGOs, and international organizations to support implementation of Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration and relevant commitments under the WSSD Plan of Implementation. General In collaboration with colleagues within WRI, the Director will: * Provide leadership to the TAI/PP10 project team and manage daily activities of TAI and PP10 staff; * Devise a project work plan to allow for both further research and development of the TAI methodology and strategic expansion of the TAI and PP10 networks; * Represent TAI and PP10 in relevant national and international policy arenas; * Supervise TAI and PP10 project activities, including the development of budgets, proposals, donor reports, and internal WRI reporting.

Responsibilities include:
## Data and information gathering and data analyses for the purpose of food security and early warning.
## Work closely with individual USAID Missions, if a Country Representative, or with several Missions, if a Regional Representative, and with other US and foreign government agencies, private donor agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Work closely with the USAID Mission personnel most involved with food security, agriculture, and the PL 480 program.
## Ensure that the early warning, vulnerability analysis and response planning needs of USAID Missions are properly identified and called to the attention of the project's COP. Work with the COP to identify those areas in which the Representative is technically qualified to provide technical assistance, as well as identify how other needs identified by Project Management and the Missions will be met. (Note: The precise role of the Representative is likely to vary from situation to situation depending upon the needs of the Mission and the technical capabilities of the Representative.)
## Responsible for ensuing FEWSNET activities are implemented in a manner which contributes to the building of a local capacity to provide food security and famine early warning and response planning information in a sustainable manner. Clear and well defined annual workplans, to be approved by USAID Missions and the COP, will be an important element in ensuring that the Representatives' activities are undertaken in a highly collaborative manner with host country and regional institutions.

Requirements: Required qualifications: At least a master's degree in a
discipline that is directly relevant to, or provides a basic understanding of,
the disciplines involved in famine monitoring. At a minimum, the candidate must
have a suitable background in: (1) economics and/or agricultural economics so
as to be able to conduct early warning and vulnerability analyses described in
this scope of work, and (2) agriculture and agroclimatology so as to be able to
link information about current season agricultural growing conditions with
satellite imagery obtained for important crop growing areas. Other areas which
also would be desirable, although are not required, are public health,
nutrition, geography, rural Economics, and similar areas. Experience working in
the international development arena, particularly in the areas of food security
and early warning; Experience will information dissemination, communications,
and outreach to a worldwide audience; Minimum of 3 years field experience in a
developing country, preferably in the country/region to which the candidate is
applying, conducting operations of relevance to data acquisition and analysis
of potential famine conditions. Computer literacy is critical and an ability to
correct hardware and software related problems in the field with a
minimum of outside technical assistance is critical. Excellent writing, editing, document production skills; and Training experience a plus. Language fluency at least at the FS S3/R3 in the official national language. English language fluency a plus.
