Requirements:

Management Systems International seeks a Business Development Associate to join its Business Development Team.� The ideal candidate will hold a BA in international development or a related field, should work well in teams, and must have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.� Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential.� Foreign language skills and international study or work experience preferred. This is an entry-level position.

The Business Development Associate will:

�� Write corporate capability statements and tailor past performance reports for proposals utilizing MSI internal databases and key informant interviews.

�� Review solicitation documents for corporate capability/PPR requirements.

�� Assist in the compilation of proposal materials and work closely with both the proposal and cost teams during proposal preparation to ensure that all deadlines are met.

�� Assist in the coordination of proposals from start to finish from various donor organizations, including USAID.�

�� Draft biographical summaries and personnel resumes.

�� Recruit consultants, both in the U.S. and abroad, for proposal submissions.�

�� Contribute to writing/editing of MSI marketing materials and web content.

MSI is seeking a senior-level Director of Finance and Administration for a long-term project in Pakistan, based in Peshawar.� The Director will supervise a financial and administration team overseeing a variety of field offices, sub-contracts and grants to organizations working in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan.

Applicants must have extensive knowledge of financial management and the administration of USAID contracts, along with considerable experience applying that knowledge either overseas or in the US.� Experience managing sub-grants, preferably sub-grants under contract, required.� Prior experience working in South Asia and knowledge of Pashtu and/or Urdu strongly preferred.�

Contract:� Fixed Term for a period of 2 years

The Fairtrade Foundation is a rapidly growing organization which exists to ensure a better deal for disadvantaged and marginalized producers in developing countries. UK sales of Fairtrade certified products are running at �300m per year.

The Fairtrade for Development in Africa project is designed to contribute to the reduction of poverty in Africa by scaling up the Fairtrade Labelling system as a way of improving the social and economic position of farmers and workers, and supporting their efforts to achieve sustainable development in their communities.

We are currently looking to appoint a Project Manager who will be responsible for the coordination and project management of the �Fairtrade for Development in Africa� programme.� This is a newly created role funded by Comic Relief.

Job qualifications : To fulfill the requirements of this role you will need to demonstrate:

�� Excellent project management skills (preferably in a development context)

�� Experience of planning, designing, managing and monitoring projects

�� Excellent knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting procedures.

�� Understanding of donor organizations and managing donor funded projects.

�� Experience of living and working in a developing country, preferably in Africa.

�� Strong influencing skills

�� Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

�� Ability to handle varied complex and demanding workloads

�� Willingness and ability to travel to Africa regularly

Nationality : Open to all nationalities

Job type :� Full-time, short-term

Start-up date : December 2007

Salary range : �33,599 � �35,390
