Position
Summary: MSI is seeking a short-term M&E consultant, with experience in
Education and Gender, for our EQUATE project. This project is a worldwide USAID
task order contract under the WID IQC, led by MSI with
The candidate for this position will assist the EQUATE team by conducting interviews with USAID staff and stakeholders on gender equality in education. The goal of the interviews is to ascertain individuals’ knowledge of and experience working on gender equality issues in education. The interviews are also designed to determine staff members’ level of familiarity with the EQUATE project and its tools and resources. This is a follow-on activity to interviews conducted in 2004 to gain insight into approaches, successes, and challenges in girls’ education and the achievement of gender equality in programming.
A list of interview candidates and questions will be provided by the EQUATE team. The consultant will schedule and conduct interviews or focus group discussions, in person or over the phone, with stakeholders and USAID staff based at headquarters or in the field. Accurately capturing the data is essential, so the consultant will document, in detail, responses to the interview questions. The consultant will then prepare a summary report based on the data collected in the interview process.
Responsibilities:

an International Portfolio coordinator the main objective is to lead and

wide range of local/area/regional, national and international stakeholders

West and Central Africa works in eight countries:
The
core impact areas are:
- Access to basic services (BASE):
universal primary education, with a focus to quality and girls’ education,
water, sanitation and hygiene (
- Income, production and employment (PIE):
cotton, oil seeds, livestock, horticulture, timber and non-timber forest
products (NTFP) and tourism.
The
operations for those impacts are highly dependent on financing by the

its financial resources.
The
objective of the partnership and resources mobilization manager is to require
an additional 25% funding by 2015.
Responsibility:
The
Partnership and Resources Mobilizations manager will work with the regional
knowledge manager in BASE and PIE, the regional communications officer and
country directors (CDs) and will report to the regional director (RD). He/she
will liaise closely with his/ her peers in the other 4 regions and with
relevant Head Office staff in the

responsibilities:
1.
Resource Mobilization
• Coordinate and facilitate the
implementation of the corporate partnership and resource mobilization policy
and procedures as well as represent WCA in all corporate PRM activities. This
will include support to public relations and communication initiatives to
enhance PRM;
• Support and coordinate with the regional
director, regional knowledge manager in BASE and PIE, the regional
communications officer and country directors to cultivate and solicit all major
donors, focusing on corporations and foundations, and multilateral and
bilateral organizations, along the sector and chain choices made in WCA. This
will require pro active mapping of potential sources of funds and an
appropriate tracking system;
• Draw up resource mobilization plans,
including budgets, with realistic targets and milestones;
• Support country programmes in verifying
a realistic resource mobilization target that enables country directors to
retain an equal balance between the impact areas and maintain a low cost of
advisory or primary process days;
• Make sure that the grant applications
and proposals are made as well as train and support others to do so for
foundations and corporations, as well as multilateral and bilateral
organizations;
• Work closely with the regional director,
regional knowledge manager in BASE and PIE, the communications officer and
country directors to nurture and develop new relationships with key
stakeholders, partners including foundations;
• Develop an effective donor track system
through ongoing market research.

As a
key member of the 4 person Senior Core Management Team s/he will participate in
and be responsible for the strategic leadership and direction in the Country
Office. This includes developing policy and practice, representing and
marketing CARE\'s work and making decisions that advance the direction, quality
and impact of the CARE Bangladesh Program.
Requirements
Bachelor’s
Degree in a related field
5 years
experience in a similar position – senior financial and managerial role in a
multi-dimensional organization or company
Fluent
oral and written communication skills in English
Proven
experience mentoring, training and delegating
Excellent
