Position
Summary: MSI is currently seeking an experienced grants manager to provide
oversight to the grants program of an upcoming project focusing on expanding
civic participation and fostering democratic transition in
Responsibilities:
Provides oversight to Grants program;
Subject to the overall coordination and
control of the CTO, advises and assists in the design, development and
implementation and program monitoring and evaluation of grant-making authority
and grants management policies, procedures, and practices;
Provides policy guidance and
interpretation for program staff as well as sub-grantees;
Analyzes and evaluates grant
applications, proposals and awards to ensure adherence to grants management
policies;
Ensures proper negotiation of the terms
and conditions for sub-grants and reviews and analyzes budget estimates for allowability, allocability,
reasonableness, and consistency
Qualifications:
5 - 10 years experience in grants design
and administration to management and oversee distribution of grants as well as
subcontracting;
Knowledge of USAID contract management
and grants management policies and procedures; Grants under Contract experience
preferred;
Proven record of excellent management,
leadership and interpersonal skills;
Proven ability to work with diverse
international teams;

main focus of the sector in Asia is income generation for the poor through
value chain development for timber and non-timber forest products (NTFPs), improving market and credit access, market based
planning in the forest sector, creation of pro-poor access to carbon financing
and promotion of pro-poor management of forest land through small holder
producers and communal management of forest land.

Pro Poor Forestry Programme (PPFP)
The
main activity in the FP sector is the Pro Poor Forestry Programme in the North
Central Agro-ecological Zone (PPFP). PPFP builds on experiences gained and
lessons learnt from successful SNV programs in the North-Central Agro
Ecological Zone (NCAEZ) region.
PPFP
focuses on forest dependent households that obtained land-titles under

leads the FP sector of SNV Vietnam. He/she is responsible to provide and assure
quality advice to all actors at national and provincial level in the
development of a Pro-poor forestry sector. More specifically he/she is

As sector leader for the FPMC he/she is

Represents SNV in FSSP and other

qualifications : Educational background:
MSc in
Rural or Development economics, MBA is an advantage, Academic level of working
in Economic rural development and Value Chain Development in the Forestry

Experience:
minimum 10 years of relevant working experience; experience in Value Chain
Development and Multi Stakeholder processes is essential; Experience with Land
Use Planning is an advantage; Good international network in the Forestry
sector; strong advisory skills and capable of managing a national programme.
