Project/Proposal
Summary:
This
project will assist the Government of Rwanda (GOR) in developing the capacity
of Rwanda’s justice sector. This two-year justice sector capacity building project
aims to strengthen the professionalism, impartiality, and independence of the
judiciary, and facilitating the implementation of Rwanda’s legislative reform
agenda. It also aims to improve the effective engagement between government and
civil society, particularly in the areas of policy formulation and development
planning.
Position
Summary:
MSI
is seeking an experienced, Public Outreach Manager to
provide long-term technical and administrative management of tasks related to
improving dialogue between judicial institutions and civil society/professional
groups in Rwanda. Only Rwandan citizens are eligible for this position.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and
implementation of public outreach strategies geared toward promoting communication
between judicial institutions and civil society/professional groups;
• Develop strategies to promote
information dissemination to the public and to enable public input into legal
reform decision-making areas that affect them;
• Serve as the resident expert on public
outreach strategy design, coordination, and delivery;
• Liaise with media to enhance public
understanding of legal reforms.
Job
qualifications : Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in
relevant field from accredited university;
• Minimum 3- 5 years of progressive work
experience in designing, coordinating, and delivering public outreach
initiatives;
• Experience working with the media on
such initiatives preferred;
• Fluency in French reading, writing, and
speaking required;
• Experience with USAID, MCC or other
federal funding organizations a plus;
• Must be able to effectively use word
processing and data management systems and applications, including Microsoft
Windows, Word, Excel, and Internet and Email applications;
• Fluency in French and ability to speak
proficient English is required.
